Björn Bernström was born in Hultsfred, Sweden, in 1966 and as a young boy he took after his two older brother’s fascination for wildlife and bird watching and spent most weekends with his binoculars and a thermos of hot chocolate in the wilderness outside of Hultsfred. Music was always present and when punk music hit the international music scene he started playing guitar and formed local punk rock bands (“The Rubbish” and “Zwän Ruth”) and was a part of the musical movement in Hultsfred, the music association Rockparty and the famous Hultsfred Festival.
In 1986 Björn moved to Stockholm and studied art at Ölands Skogsby from1994 to 1995. In 2008 he began to paint watercolor as a profession. Over the years he has participated in more than 80 shows in Scandinavia and is now a frequently hired watercolor instructor in Scandinavia and around the world. He has taught more than a thousand of students in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Australia, Italy, Dominica, Canada and the USA.
